TSU Protection Services is recruiting Seasonal Public Safety Officers to work in the Clifton area of Cape Town, Western Cape.
The successful candidates will work on a fixed-term contract from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027, providing public safety services in areas including beaches, roads, car parks and green open spaces.
Applicants need Grade 12 and valid, up-to-date PSIRA Grade B registration.
TSU Protection Services is the contracted public safety provider for the Clifton City Improvement District, which provides additional services to those provided by the City of Cape Town.
Public Safety Officers work within Clifton’s public spaces, including beaches, car parks, roads and green open spaces.
The public safety team provides a visible crime deterrent while also assisting residents, property owners and visitors.
Officers are supported by a surveillance centre providing CCTV monitoring.
What Public Safety Officers Will Do
This is an active, outdoor security position.
Successful candidates should be prepared to patrol different types of terrain, including beaches, sand, rocks, grass, bushes and other green areas.
Officers need to remain alert and responsive while on duty and be capable of working independently without continuous supervision.
Because public safety services operate throughout the year, candidates must also be prepared to perform their duties in different weather conditions.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12
PSIRA Grade B registration, which must be current and up to date
Clear criminal record
Good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans
Good health and physical condition
Physically capable of working on beaches, in bushes and green areas
Able to work in different weather conditions
Able to work independently
Good attention to detail
Proactive communication skills
Neat and presentable
A driver’s licence is advantageous, but the vacancy does not list it as a compulsory minimum requirement.
Staff Transport Requirement
