About the Role
The Security Guard is responsible for protecting Dis-Chem’s employees, customers, property and assets by providing professional security services in accordance with the Private Security Industry Regulation Act 56 of 2001 and company procedures.
The successful candidate will conduct patrols, monitor access control, investigate suspicious activities, assist during emergencies and ensure all security procedures are followed to minimise risks and prevent losses.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
Conducting regular patrols around the premises.
Monitoring access control for employees, visitors and suppliers.
Preventing theft, vandalism and unauthorised access.
Investigating suspicious activities and reporting incidents.
Completing occurrence books and security registers.
Performing staff, supplier and vehicle searches.
